This lighter is mine — a small, specific object that means more than its size lets on. It carries a new classic story, told in an old technique: graphite doing what graphite has always done, applied to something built in the last few decades. That collision of old and new runs through my style and medium both. Less homage, more commentary — and a reminder that I'd rather carve my own path than just follow the culture that made it.
